The inaugural Bluedot festival saw a seemingly perfect pairing of science, dance music and the all round other-worldly feel of festivals over the weekend.

Taking place at Jodrell Bank under the giant Lovell telescope the festival has fledged from smaller gigs, to large-scale performances from the likes of New Order, Elbow and Sigur Ros and now to an ‘out of this world’ themed space fest called Bluedot (nod to Carl Sagan’s Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space).
